If you do and you currently work at Band 6 level or above within a Community Nursing based role, we have just the opportunity for you working with us as a Clinical Team Leader in NHS Shetland.

NHS Shetland Community Nursing Team covers a diverse range of services, which includes District Nurses, General Practice Nurses, Community Treatment Room Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Non- Doctor Island Nurses (who provide 24 hour care on islands with no resident GP), Community Mental Health Nurses and Specialist Nurses such as Continence and Learning Disability Nurses.

Working together with our Social Care colleagues we care for a resident population of almost 23,000 across 15 populated islands.

The Clinical Team Leaders share the first line management and leadership responsibility for the service, whilst also maintaining and using their clinical expertise operationally when needed.

You should currently be working at or above Band 6 (Agenda for Change or equivalent) level and have at least 3 years or more experience at this senior level, preferably in a community setting.

It is desirable that you have or are working towards a Masters level qualification (SCQF level 11) and essential that you are a Non-Medical Prescriber with Advanced Clinical Examination skills and are willing to develop other clinical, leadership or management skills that may be required for the role in the future.

Come and join us in Shetland it’s a wonderful place to live and work. Shetland offers low pollution, low crime, excellent schools, great leisure facilities, unique wildlife and amazing scenery, whilst still only a short flight away from the UK mainland.
