Job Purpose:
The postholder will work as part of the Highland Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service (NDAS) alongside registered clinicians. This service provides an assessment process and diagnostic pathway for children and young people presenting with potential neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.
The postholder will be expected to work with school staff and other professionals to provide support and assessment within predetermined guidelines for a designated caseload of children and young people on behalf of professionals in the NDAS Team. Training, development, supervision and support will be available.
You should have experience of working with children and young people, and an SVQ 3/ HNC or similar, or equivalent skills and experience. You should also be able to work as part of a team and independently and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Ideally you would work full time, but part time or secondment, with agreement from your manager, may be considered.
