NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has vacancies for Specialty Doctor Breast Clinicians within the Breast Service.
The appointees will join the existing team of 16 Consultant Breast Radiologists and 8 Breast Clinicians working in conjunction with specialist Breast Care Nurses and
Radiographers to deliver a high-quality Breast Screening Programme to the eligible women from the West of Scotland. The post will be based at the West of Scotland Breast Screening Centre, Nelson Mandela Place, Glasgow for a minimum of 3 sessions per week to a maximum of 8 sessions.
The successful candidates will participate in the Breast Screening Service. The role will involve clinical assessment and examination of patients recalled for further assessment from the breast screening programme, onward referral to surgical and oncological services in secondary care, liaison with primary care and public health departments, breast health promotion and education. The appointee will also be a vital member of the multidisciplinary team for the Breast Service in Glasgow.
Applicants must have full registration with the General Medical Council and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher Specialist Training and should have a minimum of 2 years post CCST experience. Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
