Job Title: Infection and Prevention Control Manager
Salary Band: 8C £73,506- £79,221)
Hours: Full time - 37.5 per week
Duration: Permanent
This is an excellent opportunity to work in the NHS Grampian Infection and Prevention Control Team. We are seeking to employ a dynamic clinical leader to drive forward our Infection Prevention and Control service. The role, based predominantly in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, covers the NHS Grampian region from Laurencekirk in the south to Forres in the north and as far west as Braemar.
Providing leadership and drive the Infection Prevention and Control Manager (IPCM) is accountable to the Executive Lead for HEI and will work to develop and deliver the NHS Grampian Board’s Infection Prevention and Control Programme. Managed within the Division of Clinical Support Services, Acute Services the IPCM will take overall responsibility for processes relating to risk assessment and governance of Infection Prevention and Control accessing the professional expertise of the Infection Prevention and Control Doctors and Decontamination Lead.
The post holder will work closely with the HEI Executive Lead, Consultant Microbiologists, Consultants, Heads of Departments, Link Practitioners for Infection Prevention and Control and the Public Health Team. The post holder will be required to assure the HEI Executive Lead that the necessary actions are in place to meet the requirements of Health Improvement Scotland.
This is a Senior Healthcare professional opportunity and there is an expectation that the post holder will fully participate in the leadership and delivery of high-quality patient care.
