Advanced Nurse Practicioner – Specialist Palliative Care
Salary £41-£47,000
Ardgowan Hospice is looking to recruit an Advdanced Nurse Practioner who want to make a positive contribution to patient care as part of a vibrant, friendly team.
Reporting to the Nursing Services Manager and working alongside the medical and multidisciplinary team, the post holder will work autonomously at an advanced practice level to identify, assess, diagnose, prescribe for and treat patients with specialist palliative care needs as required across hospice services.
You will apply their extended knowledge and skills to the practice of specialist palliative care to support patients and provide assessment, clinical care and management of both unstable, deteriorating and dying patients supporting his/her family, and making complex, autonomous decisions.
You will be required to prescribe medication, order investigations and refer to other professionals for tests or examinations as appropriate.
We require applicants to have the following experience/qualifications:
- Current active registration on the relevant part of the NMC Register
- Experience of working with patients with palliative care needs
- Evidence of post-graduate training in palliative care
- ANP Qualification or working towards this.
- Advanced clinical practice and examination skills
