PROGRAMME MANAGER

About the Organisation:

National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating right at the heart of NHSScotland providing invaluable support and advice at a strategic and operational level.  NSS supports customers to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively and we offer shared services on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. Our priority is always the same – to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland. We do this by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit for purpose solutions and systems, delivering high quality services that help our stakeholders to free up resources so they can be re-invested into essential services.  Supporting the join-up of Health and Social care through digitisation and inter-operability is an important part of the role.

The post:

National Services Division (NSD) currently has an exciting opportunity for Programme Managers with experience in driving improvements in healthcare through effective use of recognised project and improvement methodologies to join its team. One post will provide programme management support to the Perinatal Mental Health Network and one post will support the National Neonatal Network.

National Networks work across geographical and organisational boundaries to support a ‘Once for Scotland’ approach to the planning, design and delivery of an integrated, holistic, person-centred care pathway across the health and social care system.

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, the post holders will join a team who will drive forward the work of the Networks in Scotland. You will have excellent leadership, influencing, organisational skills and the ability to produce written work of the highest quality.

You will work in collaboration with lead clinicians, network members and key stakeholders to enable the network to deliver its aims and objectives to agreed standards. You should be able to work on your own initiative, be proactive, manage and prioritise a busy work schedule and demonstrate attention to detail.

Networks include service users, health and other professionals from education, social care and Third Sector organisations. Engaging with stakeholders at this level requires the postholders to be able to nurture relationships across professional, organisational and geographical boundaries.

The candidate:

Do you have:

• Experience of bringing with a wide range of stakeholders from different organisations together to achieve a common goal?

• The ability to provide robust programme and change management within complex programme environments?

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills?

Location and working pattern:

Home working is required at present due to current COVID-19 restrictions. However, office working requirements will be considered depending on personal circumstances and the restrictions lifting. Office bases are in central Glasgow and the Gyle, Edinburgh.

Benefits:

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits
