Fixed Term for 12 Months - Secondment Opportuntiy.
To undertake the role of theSpecialist Nurse for Children with Additional Support for Learning Needs, utilising clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment.
Provide support to The City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) while putting into practice the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2009, ensuring that the monitoring, assessment, implementation and evaluation of programs of care are performed for each pupil with healthcare needs.
In collaboration with other relevant healthcare professionals and agencies develop and maintain in-service healthcare education and professional development programs for education staff and participate in teaching to share knowledge and expertise.
Responsible for the implementation of, and delivery of education in current CEC procedures for managing pupils with healthcare needs who attend Schools Nurseries and Early Years Centres.
