This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PA/Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the Medicine of the Elderly & Stroke Medicine senior management team at RIE. This is a varied, interesting and demanding post, working as part of a great team in a high pressure, ever evolving environment. This is fantastic position within this dynamic and progressive team.
A small snippet of your duties below:
- Planning and minute taking for complex meetings
- Preparation and distribution of papers for meetings
- Acting as first point of contact for the Clinical Service Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Director, Assistant Service Manager and other members of the CMT
- Supporting projects, often from inception to completion
The post is full time.
Essential –
- Have a friendly manner with good interpersonal skills, be motivated to achieve results, have the ability to develop strong working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams, have a positive attitude to change.
- With an HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/ Business Administration / other relevant subject, you will have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- You will be able to demonstrate effective negotiating and problem solving skills. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- You will be a self-starter able to use your own initiative and prioritise your workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
- You will have a high level of attention to detail and integrity.
- Flexibility to meet last minute demands.
- Experience of working in an NHS environment would be an advantage.
- Reliable time management.
