The Directorate of Medical Education is seeking to appoint Clinical Teaching Fellows, in conjunction with the trauma unit, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for one year from August 2022.
This posts will comprise 50% teaching and 50% clinical service delivery, and are banded.
For the teaching component of the post, the Clinical Teaching Fellow will focus on the organisation, development and provision of teaching to undergraduate medical students from Glasgow University. Teaching will comprise a mixture of bedside teaching and facilitated tutorials, simulation; and additionally will co-ordinate teaching by other staff. The clinical component of the posts will support the trauma unit.
Candidates must be fully registered with the GMC with a current Licence to Practice, and must have completed Foundation training. Evidence of an interest in and an aptitude for teaching is essential and possession of a higher postgraduate qualification (e.g. MRCP, MRCS, FRCA) highly desirable.
