We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team as Assistant Practitioners. We are a large Breast Screening department screening in excess of 70,000 women per year across the South East of Scotland. We provide screening on mobile units throughout the area and an assessment service in our static unit. The ability to travel to all our locations is a must for this role. This post is 22.5 hours/3 days per week. (4 days/30 hours will be considered), subject to service demands. Occasional Saturday shifts will be required on a rotational basis.
Your primary role will be to perform Screening Mammograms and partake in Quality Assurance in both the static centre and on mobile units around South East Scotland. Full training at the Scottish Academy of Breast Imaging (SABI) will be provided. You will also assist and chaperone Consultant Radiologists and Radiographers in ultrasound and biopsy procedures, whilst providing an excellent level of care to our clients. You will have good communication and organisation skills, be able to show initiative and work independently.
