Looking for new challenges and opportunities to develop your skills? NHS Lothian is growing clinical capacity across Primary care in support of Scottish Government’s Achieving Excellence strategy and in fulfillment of the plans for a pharmacotherapy service for General Practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in West Lothian. As an integral member of the primary care pharmacy team you will have an important role in in developing and delivering a remote pharmacotherapy hub for GP practices across West Lothian. You will also gain experience of delivering a pharmacotherapy service within GP practice.
You will have excellent communication skills and wish to work in a clinical setting delivering pharmaceutical care. As a strong communicator you will liaise closely with pharmacists and other clinical staff across all care settings.
We work closely with Strathclyde and Robert Gordon Universities and NES and pride ourselves on the range of training and development opportunities that are available to staff. Successful applicants will be supported to complete the NES Pharmacy competency based Foundation Training programme which is accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and equips pharmacists with a broad range of core skills.
Candidates should have a Masters of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council and have completed their pre-registration year in hospital, community or joint hospital/industry practice.
