We have an exciting opportunity for 2 registered Occupational Therapist to join the Band 5 rotation within the Occupational Therapy services at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.
1 x permanent full time
1 x fixed term until 31/03/23 full time
The 2 vacancies currently sit in hand and upper limb out-patients/orthopaedics and surgical in patients. The full rotation includes working for a period of 9 months within each of the following clinical teams;
VHK - stroke and critical care, orthopaedics, surgical, acute medicine and medicine of the elderly, hand and upper limb out-patients/orthopaedics
QMH - rehabilitation and a community assessment centre.
You will have skills in the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, psychological and environmental needs of patients and will demonstrate a sound knowledge of the occupational therapy process.
We welcome applications from newly qualified therapists and you will have positive experience of managing your own caseload and of multi agency working. We are committed to supporting evidence based practice and you will have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement activities. This post will require you to participate in weekend working.
The Occupational Therapy service supports continuing professional development through regular supervision, TURAS, in-service programme and training.
You should have the ability to travel throughout Fife effectively in a timely manner as required. There is a possibility that the scope for this post will extend to other NHS localities.
