SPECIALIST PODIATRISTS (BAND 6)


BASED AT WICK MEDICAL CENTRE


(Salary £33,072- £40,736)        

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 podiatrists to join the existing podiatry team within North and West Division, NHS Highland.


The post holders will work primarily within East Caithness, GP medical centres. Providing the highest quality evidence based podiatric care in a variety of settings as an autonomous practitioner. Competent in a wide range of complex podiatric specialties, including diabetes, MSK conditions, rheumatology, biomechanics, nail surgery and wound management. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team and acting as a source of podiatry advice for individuals, carers, GPs and other health and social care professionals.  


These posts involve working as a lone practitioner on a daily basis, although advanced practitioners are only a phone call away. The podiatry team is a small team which meets regularly and is part of the much wider NHS Highland Podiatry department.  The podiatry service in the area is managed by an integrated team lead with the Podiatry Professional lead input as well.  


A full driving licence is essential for this post and a pool car will be available.
