An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist with a desire to develop people to join our pharmacy education and training team providing specialist medical and pharmacy education within NHS Ayrshire & Arran across hospital and primary care.
You will develop and deliver the local medical education prescribing and pharmacy programme for junior doctors and undergraduate medical students. You will lead your team to develop and support the delivery of education and training for all pharmacy staff at all levels of practice. You will liaise with other education and training pharmacists in Scotland, with NES and the Schools of Pharmacy at the University of Strathclyde and Robert Gordon University.
You will need to have excellent clinical knowledge, critical appraisal, negotiation, organisational, advanced interpersonal and communication skills to work confidently as an integral part of the pharmacy and multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in education/teaching is essential.
You will be based in the pharmacies at University Hospital Crosshouse and Ayr and will work across NHS Ayrshire & Arran in hospital and primary care settings.

You will participate in departmental weekend, late night, public holiday and on call/ extended hours rotas as required. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and/or an extended working week.
