NHS Fife has a development opportunity for a clinical pharmacist with extensive experience, at a senior level, to lead delivery of our Prescribing Services, including Prescribing Support to General Practices. This post will lead the transformation and integration of prescribing services across Fife, working closely with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for General Practice and the Lead Pharmacist for Therapeutics & Medicines Utilisation.
The NHS Fife Pharmacy Service is undergoing an ambitious programme of transformation and integration. It serves a population of approximately 380,000 people, and is provided by an integrated team of around 200 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. The team work across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.
This post would suit individuals with excellent clinical knowledge, experience of leadership at a senior level in an organisation as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have a post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, be an independent prescriber, and as part of your role, you will have a clinical commitment.
