An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Therapy Services Department of The Regional Burns and Plastic surgery Units. As our department secretary, you will be in a unique role. You will provide secretarial and administrative support to the team. Your role is vital in assisting in the effective and efficient care delivered by the therapy department. You will be required to produce accurate clinical correspondence by use of mainly audio typing, copy typing, including operation notes, discharge letter, clinic letters departmental specific /legislative reports. You must have excellent communication skills, dealing with patients, colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team. You must be able to concentrate on essential tasks despite frequent interruptions.
This post is part-time (26 hours) preferably over 5 days. It is desirable if you have a Business Management/Administration Qualification or equivalent knowlege and skills in medical administration and have good knowledge of all Microsoft software. The shift pattern for this post is over 5 days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm, Thursday 9.00am - 3.00pm.
