An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 therapy support workers to join our team in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy department within the Institute of Neurological Science at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We provide acute inpatient therapy to Neurological and Neurosurgical patients for the West of Scotland. The main role of this post is to facilitate early rehabilitation and to maximize functional abilities of these complex patient groups.
You will work alongside qualified members of staff assisting with a variety of tasks; for example mobilising patients, exercise programs, upper limb therapy and assisting activities of daily living. You will also have a delegated caseload of your own. Initial and ongoing training will be provided.
Duties will also include clerical and administrative tasks, eg appointing patients and maintaining databases. You will also be responsible for general housekeeping, cleaning and stock control tasks.
This post is based at the Institute of Neurological Science at QEUH. This is a 37.5 hour post working 5 days over 7.Experience of working within a similar role is desirable.  IT and telephone skills are essential. The post holder should be flexible, enthusiastic to learn and enjoy team working.
