We are looking to permanently recruit an Immunisation Clinic Coordinator in the Grampian vaccination program, this will be within vaccination centres as well as outlying community clinics across Central Aberdeenshire areas but with the Garioch Vaccination Centre in Inverurie as your base. There is an expectation that the successful individual will contribute to a wider system support network if necessary. Job share may be considered
Applicants should hold a valid registration with a governing body or be a registered nurse with current full NMC registration. Applicant should possess advanced written and verbal communication skills, ensuring timely sharing of information across the immunisation team. Excellent organisational and coordination skills, excellent interpersonal skills/team leader experience and able to prioritise workload, multitask and work to tight deadlines and deal with stressful situations. Previous management experience is desirable as is an interest in further management training.
As part of the supervisory responsibility, the post holder will be familiar with and ensure implementation of local and national policies, procedures and guidelines pertinent to all staff within their area of responsibility in the pursuit of the highest standard of care. Ability to effectively manage complaint/concern resolution, Datix reporting/handling. Ability to organise and carryout appropriate audits to ensure performance and ensure clinical governance of service. Working knowledge of GP IT and other clinical IT systems. Establish and participate in systems of practice support, team meetings, clinical supervision and personal development plans for immunisation staff.
