We are seeking two motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to join the West Dunbartonshire Community Learning Disability Team. These posts create an exciting opportunity for the reshaping of the team and are integral pieces of the puzzle in allowing the team to be more fully established and provide much needed clinics and specialist groups to support people with a learning disability in West Dunbartonshire. You would ideally have experience working with people with a Learning Disability, however this is not essential. You will strive to achieve positive and effective health outcomes for people with a Learning Disability, who have complex health needs and, or, challenging behaviour.
The post holders will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills and have the the ability to work using their own initiative. The post holders will support all members of the multi-disciplinary team including nursing, OT, SLT and Physiotherapy and training will be provided as required.
The post holders will be supported by members of the MDT to manage their own caseload with supervision from more senior clinicians within the team.
Ideally the candidates will have a current driving licence with access to a car for the purpose of work.
The shift pattern for this post is Mon – Fri (9 am -5pm)
