Job Description
The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) has an exciting opportunity within our Costing & Capital team for a Capital Accountant. We are looking for a passionate, innovative and people focused individual who has the appetite, desire and motivation to work in a fast paced, changing environment. You will be a self-starter, business focused and, solution oriented individual who takes pride in the delivery of outstanding service to our customers, in a team and partnership working environment.
The Capital and Costing Team are responsible for a number of key work streams within the Finance Department. This post will focus on maintaining the fixed asset ledger and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. The post holder will have responsibility for preparing financial plans, forecasts and notes to the annual NHS accounts. The post holder will also provide guidance and support to Capital budget holders and will support the preparation and implementation of major capital investment projects.
Key Requirements
You will be educated to degree level and part qualified with one of the organisations recognised under CCAB. You should also have experience of working within a finance department of a large organisation, ideally within NHS Scotland or wider public sector.
