Applications are invited from operational Ambulance Paramedics who are interested in taking up a 6 Month seconded post within the Air Ambulance Division.
It is essential that the candidate is a fully current line checked Technical Crew Member with Gama Aviation for operating on a H145 helicopter, NVIS and Trauma Desk coordination desirable. Experience on working on the King Air is essential.
Based at Glasgow Airport the successful candidate will form part of the team providing clinical cover on our rotary aircraft.
This rotary aircraft is an integral part of the Scottish Ambulance Service air ambulance fleet, operating out of Glasgow Airport 24hrs a day (12hr day/night shift pattern) 7 days per week, providing an essential link to our remote and rural communities and improving the quality of life for the sick and injured throughout Scotland. The successful applicant will be required to develop additional skills to independently support the transfer of patients with additional needs. They will also be expected to develop a close working relationship with the ScotSTAR teams and be an integral part of these teams, supporting their delivery of advanced clinical care across Scotland.
It is essential that the candidate is a UK state registered paramedic who can demonstrate and evidence a high level of clinical experience and knowledge, along with a comprehensive continual professional development portfolio.
Applicants should also be aware that the post does not qualify for excess travel time payments, nor any mileage or relocation expenses. In addition, any move into this post is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure PVG certificate, from Disclosure Scotland.
