This post is fixed term for 12 months.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic individual to take up a Senior Charge Nurse post in Older Peoples Service, North Sector.  The successful applicant will provide clinical leadership and expert advice to all nursing staff. You will be accountable for recruitment, supervision, development and deployment of your staff with continual 24-hour responsibility for the management of the ward. The SCN will be required to work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the ward and the Senior Management Team within OPS.  This is key to the delivery of our nursing strategies ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient person-centred care. To be considered for this post you will be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Registration, educated to/working towards/operating at degree level and have post graduate experience within this area of practice, demonstrating the required breadth of knowledge necessary to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. The shift pattern is; 2 x 7.25 2  x 11.5  day Monday - Friday
