NHS Lanarkshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Mental Health and Learning Disabilities (MHLD) pharmacy services are undergoing significant service redesign following investment from the Scottish Government.
We are delighted that clinical pharmacy provision is a key development in CAMHS redesign with pharmacists having an important role in helping deliver pharmacological interventions for children, young people and their families accessing specialist services. NHS Lanarkshire has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced clinical pharmacist to join our growing team of dedicated pharmacy professionals.
You will develop this new role and work as part of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team to plan and deliver safe, effective, person-centred pharmaceutical care directly to patients. You must have the ability to act independently and manage your own workload as well as work well with the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will possess excellent organisational skills, and the ability to drive forward service development, redesign and manage change effectively. You will develop and implement local medicines-related policies and guidelines in CAMHS and have an active role in the education and training of other professionals.
A relevant post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience is essential. You should have a sound clinical knowledge and a commitment to quality with high standards of pharmaceutical care. An independent prescribing qualification or currently working towards one is essential. Support will be provided for training needs and working towards credentialing in line with the RPS advanced framework
Applicants should be able to travel throughout NHS Lanarkshire.
