Band 6 - £33,072 to £40,736 per annum
Plus £1,117 Distant Island Allowance per annum
37.5 Hours per Week - Permanent Post
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN qualification) to work within NHS Western Isles as part of our expanding CAMHs Team. Working closely with local statutory and voluntary agencies as part of the specialist team, candidates can enjoy the challenges of providing mental health services within busy rural mental health settings on the beautiful Western Isles.
Our vacancy is for a CPN based on Lewis & Harris with commitment to inter-island travel across the islands as required. We are seeking forward thinking, enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to appoint to our teams as we strive to meet the new National Service Specifications and standards for care.
Working within the community sector the post holder will carry a diverse caseload across tiers, providing therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families. Consultation within schools and local agencies is core to role within the GIRFEC framework. Utilising integrated working processes these posts are pivotal for the developing of services to meet the mental health needs of the most vulnerable groups, particularly Looked After and Accommodated Children, young people in transition and children and young people with neurodiverse or complex needs with comorbidity.
Candidates will ideally have:
- First level Registered Mental Nurse qualification.
- Post registration experience within acute care
- Be educated to degree level or experiential equivalent
- Experience within a CAMHS Service or the ability to deliver psychological therapies would be an advantage
