The post holder will be based within the West of Scotland Adolescent In-Patient unit – part of Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Specialist Children’s Services (CAMHS). The
unit is a Specialist 24 bedded Regional unit serving the Health Boards of the west of Scotland. It is based within the Stobhill Hospital campus. Skye House is the specialist unit for 12 – 17 years old inclusive based at Stobhill campus. You will work within a large MDT delivering highly specialist care for severe and complex mental health difficulties.
The post holder will fulfill the duties of a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will offer a direct clinical service to
children, young people, and their families/carers, providing specialist Systemic Psychotherapy - this will also include offering advice and consultation to other CAMHS colleagues, multi-agency colleagues and to other non-professional carers. The post holder requires to have an MSc level qualification (or equivalent) in Family & Systemic Psychotherapy, and to be registered with UKCP and AFT as a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist.
The post holder also requires to have a qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession - with relevant practice in this first profession over a minimum of
three years. To reflect the adaptions to practice under current COVID restrictions, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a confidence, flexibility and creativity in remote working. This would cover all aspects of the post i. e. direct clinical work, consultations,
professional meetings, supervision and CPD.
