Applications are invited from suitably experience technologists for the post of Clinical Engineering Technologist within the Clinical Engineering Section of the Medical Physics Department. The post holder will be, for the most part, involved in the repair, maintenance and testing of patient critical equipment within Ninewells Hospital and sites across NHS Tayside. In the community setting the post holder will be required to carry out routine servicing to equipment within GP Practices situated across NHS Tayside. A vehicle will be available to carry out this role.


Candidates should ideally possess experience in Portable Appliance Testing and a City and Guilds or HNC in a relevant technical subject but consideration will be given to candidates who possess relevant recognised experience working within an engineering environment. 


The Clinical Engineering Section provides clinical, scientific and technical services to NHS Tayside and external clients.


This Band 5 post will be a part of Clinical Engineering’s Electronic Services Section Technical Team, comprising of a Band 7 Team Leader, Band 6 x5 Specialist Clinical Engineering (Electronic) Technologists and Band 5 x5 Clinical Engineering (Electronic) Technologists providing clients with a comprehensive repair, maintenance and support service.
