Responsible for the teaching, supervision and formal assessment of District Nurse students during their community placements.
Take a key role in leading and developing the District Nursing (DN) service within NHS Lothian, providing expert professional knowledge and advice and ensuring clinical excellence in assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans and ensuring the delivery of high quality care in partnership with patients and families.
Responsible for the provision of expert advice and support, to both the District Nurse and Team Manager in developing the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
