We welcome applications for a Principal Clinical Scientist vacancy to join a team of 4 consultant staff and 3 clinical scientists within the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley. The successful applicant will support the Clinical Biochemistry service across the three sites in Clyde Sector.
You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the department including reporting, clinical liaison, research and development, teaching and audit.
You will have advanced specialist knowledge and interpretive skills. For appointment at AfC 8a will require you to have relevant Clinical Biochemistry experience, be HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist and a MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry and FRCPath Part 1. Consideration will be given to appoint under AfC annex 21 for candidates who are HCPC registered as a clinical scientist but who have yet to attain the written FRCPath examination. Full support will be given to allow the successful candidates to complete their training.
The shift pattern is; Monday to Friday 8.45 am until 5 pm and will contribute to Saturday morning reporting cover in laboratory
