An exciting opportunity has arisen for community mental health nurses working within Dundee GAP CRHTT. Applications are welcomed from experienced RMN’s who wish to develop their skills in crisis assessment, intervention and home treatment.
Dundee CRHTT provides 24h, 7 day per week crisis assessment, home treatment and early supported discharge service for individuals with mental health problems.
The service is going through a period of redesign and transformation and the successful candidates will be expected to participate in the ongoing delivery of the Tayside Wide Police Triage Service.
The successful applicants will have previous experience of working as a Band 5 RMN with people who have a wide range of mental health problems. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to accept and/or delegate responsibility for the ongoing assessment, implementation and evaluation of care for service users.
As a lone worker in the community you will develop, deliver and evaluate specialist psychological and psychosocial interventions, working with people to facilitate, enable and support them within their homes and communities. You will also be required to provide a supervisory role to junior members of staff within the team.
The ability to be flexible on a daily basis to meet the job requirements is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a shift rota system. You must be willing and able to travel. There may be a requirement to cover for special circumstances in other localities.
Candidates expressing interest in this opportunity must possess and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
