We have various full time and part time permanent positions working NHSL wide (please note this if a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata) to support the primary care prescribing team in promoting safe, effective and economic use of medicines by working with practices and locality prescribing advisers to identify specific prescribing initiatives to be undertaken that are in line with primary care prescribing action plans. Part of the role will involve the delivery of elements of pharmacotherapy as well as the training and development of Pharmacy Support Workers. The role will include involvement in pharmacotherapy hubs as well as GP Practice supporting the existing pharmacy teams.  You must be a car driver with a valid UK driving licence.

The post holders will be a Pharmacy technician, NVQ3 or BTEC in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent, pharmacy technician registration, experience of dealing with the public, excellent attention to detail and can demonstrate competence of previous and current pharmacy practice skills, knowledge and continuing professional development. Good written and verbal communication skills and good inter-personal and negotiation skills.
You will be computer literate with proficient IT skills, basic knowledge of the role of Boards and CHPs, in the provision of healthcare, comprehensive knowledge of the rules governing patient confidentiality when dealing with patient and practice information, ability to work independently or as part of a team and be able to demonstrate competence of previous and current pharmacy practice skills, knowledge and continuing professional development.

Ideally the post holders will have knowledge of GP practice computer systems
