We are seeking an individual to join the Tayside Child Healthy Weight Service. The post holder will support and develop our tier 2 healthy weight intervention, Best Foot Forward (BFF). Activity will focus on engaging with primary school communities across Tayside, but initially in Dundee. The post holder will be involved in delivering BFF and will work closely with local Active Schools Teams.
The Child Healthy Weight Team is part of an integrated child and adult weight management service. We are a dynamic, proactive multi disciplinary team supported by dietitians, clinical psychology, physiotherapy, support workers and administrative staff. This is an exciting time to be joining our team as we are currently reviewing and developing our pathways of care for individuals in adult, children and young people’s services. This post will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of work in relation to the prevention and early intervention of unhealthy weight across Tayside.
Candidates should have a degree qualification in Food Nutrition and Health, Public health Nutrition or food related studies. They should have good communication skills with some experience of working with community based projects or similar. Experience of working with children and young people and their families is desirable.
The posts will be based in Dundee and have a Tayside remit.
Hours of work are 37.5hours, job share and part time working will be considered
