CLINICAL FELLOW APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE IN PUBLIC HEALTH AND HEALTH POLICY

Applications are welcome for the above fixed term one year Clinical Fellow post, full time (40 hours per week) and based in Public Health and Health Policy, Waverley Gate, 2nd Floor, 1 - 4 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh, EH1 3EG
We are looking to recruit a talented and motivated individual to a non-training grade specialist doctor post in Public Health Medicine to join the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy in NHS Lothian. This is a new post where we are keen to broaden our range of staff and provide opportunities for non-training grade doctors within Public Health. The new post is available full time.
You will be based in the City of Edinburgh, the capital of the Scotland, renowned for its culture, history, educational opportunities and iconic landmarks.
You will work in a small, friendly Health Protection Team which sits within the wider multi-disciplinary Public Health and Health Policy Directorate.
The post holder will work with the Health Protection team to provide specialist advice on all health protection issues including communicable diseases, infection prevention control, and environmental health hazards. They will be integral to the efforts of the Health Protection Team whose role is to ensure the health of the population across Lothian is protected and promoted.
In the future, there will also be opportunities to work across the wider Public Health department.
The post holder will participate in an on-call rota with full-time commitment.
