Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 Months
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our new Ambulatory Rapid Assessment and Discharge Unit, within Medicine of the Elderly specialty for a secondment for 12 months for a dedicated band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to become a valued member of our team for 12 months.
RAD Ambulatory Unit is a new unit and the function of the unit will focus on patients living with frailty to attend and receive a holistic assessment and treatment on a day case basis. Procedures will include transfusions and infusions tailored towards the frailer patient. The TIA Hot Clinics are established and running well within this unit. We are looking for a HCSW with a experience in Patient Observations and Clinical Skills of Bloods and Cannulation, along with a compassionate, caring nature who will focus on the delivery of safe, high quality care during the 12 months fixed term post.
You will also
• Be dedicated and motivated in providing exceptional patient focused care
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Work well within a multi disciplinary team and individually
• Support the staff nurses and unit team
• Be fully supported through mentorship, induction and teaching programmes. In return you must be committed to your own professional development and updating your own PDP
The unit operates on a Monday to Friday basis within the hours of 9am to 5pm. These will be 7.5 hour shifts, however it is essential that you are flexible to change and able to work shifts to meet the needs of the service.
