Band 6 dietitian - ONS prescribing and lead for City care home dietetic service

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent band 6 dietitian to take responsibility for leading and developing the dietetic service to care homes and to work alongside the Dietetic Prescribing Advisor to further implement the roll out, maintenance and development of a dietetic led oral nutrition support (ONS) pathway across Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.
The role will be at the forefront of delivering this new and innovative way of supplying ONS to patients in the first instance, with a longer term focus being on sustainability and efficiency of this service.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with motivation, enthusiasm, drive and the commitment and confidence to reduce inappropriate ONS use and lead on development and delivery of the dietetic service to Aberdeen City care homes.
We have well established links with dietitians across all sectors in Grampian and work together to provide excellent CPD opportunities for all of our staff. We foster a supportive working environment and encourage staff to develop and share their learning and experiences.
The department participates in undergraduate student training, taking students for their B & C placement
For AHP posts within Grampian, there is a requirement to provide services flexibly to meet the needs of service users. This will include providing services over weekends and extended hours when necessary.
You must be a car driver, hold a full driving licence.
Must have access to a car to use for work and driver.
