Exciting new Staff Nurse post in General Medicine (Ward 4)

​​​​​​​Permanent Full time and part time opportunities available.


Do you want to work in an interesting acute medical ward environment, where you can gain experience and skills in a variety of general medical ward?


As a highly motivated, dynamic and dedicated staff nurse you will join the team the established General Medicine Nursing team in NHS Borders.


The ward is a 30 bedded unit which promotes person centred experiences.


You should have experience working within a healthcare setting and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have a genuine interest for general medicine with the main focus to provide safe, effective, patient centred care working within the professional standards held by the NMC.


You will be required to demonstrate a positive attitude, be a driven individual who is flexible, working a mix of long and short shifts dependant on the needs of the service. This will include days, nights and weekends.

Final year nursing students are welcome to apply if you are to graduate and obtain NMC registration later this year.  If you wish you  can commence as a Band 4 Health Care Support Worker pending NMC registration.

Overseas Nurses are welcome to apply if you have confirmation from the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) that you are eligible to sit the practical test of competence (OSCE) to apply to join their professional register and they have issued you with an NMC PRN number.
