Tiree Community Nursing Team are looking to recruit an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 willing to undertake a Specialist Nurse Qualification to include Non Medical Prescribing and Clinical Assessment . We are equally welcoming of applications from nurses already with Specialist Nurse Qualifications who are looking to join a small rural team and meet the challenges and rewards of working in Island Communities.
Candidates must have experience of working in a community setting and be educated to degree or Masters level.
This role involves deputising for the Band 7 and delivering direction and management to the community nursing team. Applicants will be responsible for the assessment and case management of individuals with complex needs. Palliative and end of life care forms a large part of the caseload .
There is an on call commitment with this part to support the GP with emergency cover out of hours should a nurse be required.
The successful applicant will be experienced in working as part of an integrated team which includes a GP medical group operating from one site, AHP and Third Sector partners.
The Isle of Tiree is remote and rural with single track roads but has spectacular idyllic beaches and offers an unique opportunity to be part of a small community .Working within isolated communities can be challenging and rewarding
but we are a friendly and supportive team.
