We are looking for a Fixed term 18 month Band 7 experienced health professional to join and lead the existing Autism assessment and diagnosis  team based at Skylark Child Development Centre.

The post will be split into clinical assessment and diagnosis sessions alongside project management with the aim of redesign and the development of Autism pathway and process to align with Scottish Government strategy, Board policy and Local needs to improve service access and experience.

Therefore you will need to be passionate about Autism as well as being an experienced assessment and diagnosis clinician with an interest in project management and continuous service improvement. It is essential you are registered with the appropriate body and are either a Nurse, Speech and Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist with experience and external training and accreditation in Autism assessment and diagnosis. Experience in and training in Project management would be beneficial.

 

 

You should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of family, community, and social systems, and have theoretical knowledge and experience of delivering psychological interventions to a high standard. You should be highly organized and have the ability to function competently as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and be highly knowledgeable of factors which impact on mental health and emotional well-being as well as the impact of Autism across the spectrum and impact on families, social care and education. You must be able to conceptualize vulnerability, including risk factors and intervene to build resilience and be able to demonstrate an ability/willingness to commit to personal and professional development. As a Band 7 health practitioner you will be in a senior role and will be expected to support the development and management of junior staff and students and undertake management tasks delegated by Service Manager in relation to this service area.

The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday and can be flexible.
