We are looking for an experienced Clinical Technologist to join our friendly department providing a Nuclear Medicine service to the people of the Highlands and Western Isles.

The Nuclear Medicine service is part of the Medical Physics department and is equipped with two SPECT-CT systems, a recently installed GE 870DR and a GE Optima 640.  Both cameras are linked to a network of GE Xeleris workstations.  The department has an on-site radiopharmacy and a comprehensive range of diagnostic studies and out-patient therapies is undertaken.  Clinical Technologists acquire the full range of diagnostic imaging and non-imaging studies performed in the department and are on a rota for the Radiopharmacy.  You must be eligible for the UK Register of Clinical Technologists or be a HCPC registered radiographer (or equivalent), with at least 3 years’ postgraduate experience of working in clinical nuclear medicine.  Applicants with less  experience may be considered for appointment at a lower grade and training.  The department is IPEM accredited for Clinical Technologist training in Nuclear Medicine.
