 Please note this is a part-time post for 25hrs and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

​​​​​​​This is an amazing opportunity to enhance and develop your knowledge & skills, in order to further your professional career, working in the Cardiology Department based at the University Hospital Wishaw. The shift pattern will be various hours covering Monday to Friday.

The Higher Clerical Officer will provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. Where appropriate, supervise clerical staff and provide support to line manager.

The following  KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE will be required to do the job:

Experience in an Administrative and Clerical role.

Educated to Higher Grade level.

Ability to supervise staff.

Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.

Excellent communication skills.

Good organisational and planning skills.

Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.

Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.

Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
