Job Description	An exciting opportunity has arisen within the fast-paced, 10 bedded Coronary Care Unit, for a Band 5 to take up a post. The successful candidate will be trained up to ALS standard, to carry the 2222 bleep and be trained with some radiology skills to be able to assist with the insertion of Pacing Wires and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps. If you’re caring, enthusiastic and a team worker then this could be the post for you. If you have acute nursing experience, preferably in cardiology but not essential. CCU has a total of 10 beds, a cardiology procedure room to do temporary cardiac wire insertions and balloon pumps. The CCU unit also holds the emergency 2222 bleep for the hospital and assists with opening the Cath labs out of hours. We provide level 2 care for cardiology patients for the north of Scotland. You will be required to work 12hour shifts, day & night rotation and weekend cover.
