The post holder will have operational day to day oversight by the Principal Clinical Psychologist and Line Management from the DARS Head of Service.
You will be part of the DARS Psychological Therapies team which is managed within the wider DARS service. This particular CBT post and has been developed at the request of SPS to provide psychological therapy to patients within HMP Inverness and following liberation as appropriate. The wider DARS Psychological Therapy Service is pan-Highland, providing direct clinical and in-direct input to several community DARS teams across North Highland. You will be involved in delivering assessment, formulation, individual therapy and groups to adults presenting with substance use and co-existing psychological problems. There will be a specific remit of providing direct clinical care within HMP Inverness, but also to develop through-care to continue therapeutic involvement once clients are liberated. You will contribute to the shaping and development of the post.
This post is full time (37.5 hours/week). However, variation to hours will be considered. In order to support clinicians in the delivery of their role, we place a strong emphasis on governance and CPD and the post holder will have excellent opportunities for training, access to special interest groups, and supervision.
The applicant must be BABCP accredited or accreditable. We would welcome interest from those with experience of working in a substance use, prison, or adult mental health setting, where they have gained experience of adults presenting with substance use and associated mental health difficulties.
