The post: 
NSS Digital & Security are seeking to recruit a Principal Engineer / Senior Developer to join the Gateway Solutions Team. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we modernise and enhance this widely used and respected national system. 

The candidate:
You will be an experienced full-stack developer using Microsoft and Open Source Tools, including ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, IIS, SQL Server, XML, XLST, SOAP, Javascript and REACT. You should be adept at both consuming and producing APIs using either SOAP or REST services. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of key system components and used to working in a small team environment. Ideally you will have experience of Health IT systems and standards such as FHIR, IHE or Open EHR.

You will also have excellent communication, inter-personal and leadership skills and be able to work as a member of an established team, liaising with a variety of stakeholders within and external to NSS. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, exhibiting a high degree of accuracy whilst providing development expertise and experience of working on large scale national IT systems. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with significant experience in development methodologies in large scale system solutions. You should have the ability to work across multiple projects with competing priorities, managing the conflicting demands that this entails. 

Location and working pattern:
Based at any NSS location throughout Scotland, albeit currently working from home.
