​​​​​​​An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Development Officer to work within Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) Support Team.  The post will be part of a small dynamic team who will work collaboratively with partners to deliver key elements of local and national strategic frameworks ranging from prevention & early intervention initiatives to building on the excellent work already underway in developing recovery orientated systems of care. The post holder will be expected to support the complex work of the ADP and committed to service improvement to achieve positive outcomes for individuals affected by alcohol and drugs. An important aspect of the work will be to ensure the views of individuals with lived/living experience are captured to influence areas of focus for the ADP.


The post-holder must be educated to degree level with experience working at a strategic level. Specialist knowledge and understanding of national policies pertaining to drugs and alcohol is essential along with an understanding of evidence based practice. Excellent IT and communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive information in a clear concise manner, both written and verbally, are also essential.
