A fixed term vacancy has arisen within the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, as part of our work with victims of trafficking. The Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service wish to recruit in a temporary 0.8 WTE Band 7 post which may be filled by Clinical or Counselling Psychologist; a CBT Therapist or Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology and invite applications to be considered.  NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Psychological Trauma Service provides a boardwide specialist service to meet the needs of service users with Complex PTSD, through consultation and support to wider services, and through the provision of individual and group therapies. The Trafficking strand has a National remit to support victims of trafficking. This post will work to the trafficking and wider remit of the GPTS. This role will contribute to psychological provision within the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service. The post holder is required to provide psychological assessment and high intensity/ highly specialist therapy on an individual and group basis. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures, across all sectors of care. The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the Trauma Service.  For more information about the job purpose and duties and responsibilities for this post please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification.  Applications for the post on a part-time basis will be considered.
