NHS 24 are looking for Mental Health Nurse Practitioners for an exciting opportunity to work alongside Police Scotland.
This new and unique role will bring Mental Health Nurses into the Policing environment working alongside Police officers and Staff within the Resolution Team with the Contact, Command and Control (C3) in Govan, Glasgow.
One of the key elements of the role will be to assess Mental Health related incidents to support the Police. This work will greatly assist the police in their effective decision making and look to provide a better journey for the member of the public.
As a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner you will be providing a telephone triage and clinical assessment service to patients/callers presenting with mental health illness/conditions, in mental distress or acute crisis, resulting in a safe and appropriate clinical decision.
You will be required to use a multi skilled approach and whilst using the available technology, use effective listening and communication skills in order to make clinical decisions, create records and refer to clinical reference literature during the consultation period.
