This is an amazing opportunity for a Physician Associate to enhance their clinical knowledge & skills by working alongside the dedicated medical team based in the Emergency Department at the University Hospital Hairmyres.
The Physician Associate will be required to work on various shift patterns covering day shifts and nightshifts to deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care in Emergency Medicine, working autonomously as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under the supervision of the Relevant Consultants. To work towards the achievement of NHS Lanarkshire goals and targets. Practice medicine according to high standards of professional behaviour. To be involved in the further development of new systems of working, particularly in relation to developing the’ PA role’.To participate in teaching, audit, and research where appropriate. The successful applicant will be nominated a ‘Lead Supervisory Consultant’.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
1. First degree or equivalent.
2. Graduation from an accredited Masters's or equivalent Physician Associate programme
3. Experience of working in a clinical environment.
4. Pass certifying exam for physician associates
5 . Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and other healthcare professionals
6. Ability to communicate complex information both verbally and in writing
