We have a vacancy for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team within Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee.

The Speech and Language team provide assessment and rehabilitation for individuals who have an acquired brain injury, primarily arising from stroke. You will work closely with all members of the MDT and the post is fully supported by an experienced senior specialist speech and language therapist. There will be opportunities for outpatient work and to follow up some clients once they go home. Work with clients is primarily communication based and the post holder will be expected to assess, plan and carry out therapy with supervision as required.

Experience of dysphagia is not required. This post is ideal for a newly qualified practitioner or someone looking to move into adult acquired services.

You will join a small supportive team of experienced therapist and work closely with our clinical support workers within Royal Victoria Hospital. You will also become part of our larger service across the whole of Tayside. Professional development is supported and encouraged and all newly qualified therapists are supported to complete the Flying Start Programme. You must be registered with HCPC.

Hours of work are 37.5
