This is an exciting opportunity for a respiratory Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist within the Institute of Neurological Science’s Critical Care. The Institute of Neurological Science is a regional unit providing Neurosurgical and Neurological care to the West of Scotland. The post holder will lead the clinical management and service development for critical care patients and support the respiratory management of complex patients in the acute neurosurgery and neurology wards. You will also be responsible for further developing the management of tracheostomy patients within the unit.
As the sole respiratory expert in the team you should have significant critical care experience, confidence managing a highly complex caseload, experience and confidence supporting and educating others and involvement in/leading on service development. You will have a role in the education and supervision of rotational staff, on call staff and students.
You will require excellent communication and leadership skills along with a proactive and dynamic attitude. Team working is essential
It is essential you have a Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration and evidence of relevant post graduate courses/ CPD. Consideration may be given to job share. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
