This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary to develop & enhance their knowledge & skills, in order to further their professional career, working alongside the General Surgery/Gynaecology team based at the University Hospital Wishaw.
The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
The Medica Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently.
Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
The following KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE will be required to do the job:
- SVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus experience in healthcare administration or/and experience in a secretarial role
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change
- Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians, and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
- Audio typing skills
