NHSGGC North East Radiology is currently inviting applicants for a Plain Film Lead Radiographer based at Stobhill ACH with a rotation within the sector. This is an opportunity for an experienced, motivated and hardworking individual to lead Plain Film Imaging Services. The successful candidate will work closely with the local management team to develop and deliver a quality patient focussed service and lead on staff training and education in those areas. You will be key to lead the development and implementation of clinical and professional standards e.g. review of imaging protocols in line with best practice and IRMER 2017 regulations. You will be responsible for day to day management, overseeing quality assurance standards to ensure they are effected, documented and acted on as appropriate.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with the local university to support a large student cohort (45 student clinical placements) to provide an innovative learning environment for all undergraduate and post graduate students on placement whilst having a commitment to supporting and developing staff. We have CR and DR plain film X-ray rooms, a fixed fluoroscopy room as well as a range of image intensifiers and mobile units.
